My drawing tablet is now officially dead. I really don't know why those things work like charm for decades with other people, while mine always break within a few years of only occasional use. And because I use it only occasionally, I'm not sure if I should buy another or just leave it be and try to focus on traditional art instead (when I do any art at all, which isn't very often anyway). I wanted to do more pencil and coloured pencil drawings anyway, and I didn't feel the urge to do a manipulation or a cover design for months now (until today, when my tablet made my otherwise so reliable iMac crash completely), so ... It seems I catched a new illness: cover-making-mania! I made my own a long time ago and finally liked them, too - but I thought they were some kind of lucky hit and I'd never be able to come up with good ideas for other people's stories. But I love to follow the threads in the NaNoWriMo-Forum where people offer to make covers for their fellow NaNoers. And then I made one myself. And another one. And yet another one. So it seems my presumption that my imagination wouldn't suffice for cover-making was wrong. I hope I can make a lot more. It's fun. :-)

I just looked over my photos this afternoon, and then suddenly I thought: why not upload some of those to deviantart too? I didn't take so much pictures in the last months, don't really know why, but I didn't feel like it. But ever since my sister's got a new camera and shows me her results, I begin to think about taking my Canon out and go out looking for the right moment, place and light to capture the beauty of spring ...
